Certified Business Services Consultant™ (CBSC)

Join us on December 12-13, 2018 at Employ Prince George's, Inc. Job Center location for this dynamic training designed to provide Workforce Development Professionals, Economic Developers, Education and Training Professionals with the skills and strategies they need to deliver high quality, customer-focused Business Services. 

This workshop equip attendees with tools that will enable them to deliver Business Services effectively and efficiently, enhancing outcomes as well as customer satisfaction. The Business Services Consultant Certification Training consists of classroom training and fieldwork.  BSC Certification requires successful completion of both components; classroom training and demonstration of the BSC process.

  • A step-by-step approach to addressing the core needs of businesses, including recruiting, training, and retaining employees
  • The facilitation of impactful referrals that connect businesses to the assets and resources available throughout their communities, regions and states
  • Transforming Business Services teams into high achieving, demand-driven consultants focused on customizing services to meet business needs
  • Assisting businesses to discover the principles of career pathways and to adopt and develop career pathways within their own organizations
  • Meeting Federal and State WIOA guidelines for business services and professional skill enhancement

Attendees Will Learn: 

  •  The four phases of business services, how they relate & build upon each other 
  •  The fundamentals of marketing, branding & messaging & the value of each 
  •  How to develop & effectively use tools to evaluate the needs of business 
  •  How to develop creative & effective solutions for businesses 
  •  Best practices for maintaining long term customer relationships using customer service & management techniques

A CBSC™ will be able to seamlessly demonstrate their ability to: 

  • Define and describe a demand driven system
  • Apply and synthesize the four phases of the Business Services Consultant process
  • Understand methods required to evaluate business needs and develop a strategic plan
  • Integrate the Dual Customer approach into the demand driven system
  • Understand how to build strong, sustainable working relationships


    Course Completion

    • Attend both days of CBSC™ Training
    • Actively participate in class activities
    • Demonstrate course content knowledge through group and individual learning activities

    Certification Process for Business Services Consultant

    • Application and submission of Field Study
    • Satisfactory completion of fieldwork requirements with supporting documentation

    Registration Fee | Payment for registration covers the two day training course and certificate fee. All other costs (travel and accommodations) are the sole responsibility of the registrant.
